The advertising concept complements the layout principles by adding further design options which promote the Koenig & Bauer brand in a high-quality and target-group specific manner. The themes are structured according to content and target group and are based on the literature concept.


Concept for advertise­ments

Background in brand colour

Advertisement layouts are based on the previously defined layout principle. The ways in which images are used, and the ways in which brand colours are used for backgrounds, depend on the content and the target group of the respective publication. Both the colour coding and the layout principles are strongly based on the cover design of the literature concept.

Corporate advertisements

In all advertisements on the corporate level, Koenig & Bauer is used as the background colour.

Image content: “Ideas” images with abstract close-ups or puristic long shots of materials, and “People” images.

Product and service advertisements

Product and service advertisements use the brand colour Koenig & Bauer grey for the background. 

Image content: “Machines” images with close-ups and detail views of products or “People” images with a focus on hands.

Special advertisements

Optionally, Koenig & Bauer Red can be used for special advertisements.

Image content: “Ideas” images with abstract close-ups or puristic long shots of materials, and “People” and “Machines” images.


Left and right page designs

The layout guidelines take into account the page positioning of advertisements in various media. Depending on which edge of the advertisement needs to be trimmed, the design grid is adjusted accordingly. There are therefore ad templates for right and left pages.
